Saturday afternoon my hero and mentor Richard Burns Schealer passed away. There are so many things that I could write about him, but I will keep this short. Grandfather was a truly interesting person. Navy crewchief, test pilot, NASA engineer, and a truly good person. He owned an airplane before he ever had a car. He was always quick to share his love, wisdom, and time. 

The legacy he leaves behind is amazing, but very clearly, the most important thing to him was always family. He made a point to spend time with each and every of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I grew up hoping to one day be like my Grandfather, who in turn was one of the most Godly men I have ever known. We will see him again one day.
