Mister Schealer is one of the finest people I have ever been privileged to know. The best testament to his character can be seen in the family he built with his wonderful wife. There was never any doubt that he was the patriarch, yet his patience and kindness is evident not only in his own children, but in the character and personalities of the children they raised, and how his wisdom affected those who have married into the family or, like me, were adopted into the family. His many skills, experience, insights, and wry good humor will be missed by all whose live he touched. I know that for him it will be but a moment before all of us are together again, and this makes his absence bearable, but it will be difficult for me to wait until then. Fair winds and a following sea, always. _______
"Under the wide and starry sky Dig the grave and let me lie Glad did I live and gladly I die And I lay me down with a will. This be the verse you'd 'grave for me: "Here he lies where he'd longed to be Home is the sailor, home from the sea And the hunter, home from the hill" 'Requiem' - Robert Louis Stevenson |
